About Us

Palouse Chapter of CCL

The Palouse Chapter of the Citizens’ Climate Lobby, established in 2012, encompasses Whitman County, Washington and Latah County, Idaho with members from the Lewis Clark Valley as well.  Our activities at the national and the local levels reflect major concerns of the Palouse region:  agriculture, healthy forests and environment, clean and efficient energy, and a strong economy.

We are committed to creating a consensus for and the steps needed to achieve fair, effective, and enduring climate change policies, and to a process that is inclusive, non-partisan, and respectful of diverse points of view.

Carbon Fee and Cashback

A strong, economy-wide price on carbon could reduce America’s carbon pollution by 50% by 2030 and will help us reach net zero emissions by 2050.

The Carbon Fee and Dividend policy is now before the U.S. House of Representatives as the Energy Innovation and Carbon Dividend Act, H.R. 5744. https://citizensclimatelobby.org/energy-innovation-and-carbon-dividend-act/.
