LENTIL FESTIVAL PARADE!

August 22 @ 10:30 am - 5:00 pm

JOIN US FOR THE 2026 PULLMAN LENTIL FESTIVAL PARADE!

Please show your support for constructive climate action by walking with the Citizens’ Climate Lobby of the Palouse (CCLP) in the Lentil Festival Parade on Saturday – 22nd of August.

It’s a fun parade! We’ll have some light-hearted posters celebrating Lentils; all you have to do is walk with the group and let our numbers show how many people want action to help preserve Palouse agriculture. Our 2019 Survey showed 88% of Pullman residents wanted climate action, so your presence will show they’re in good company. We will have two banners and at least 50 posters ready for you, so please bring your family and friends too!

We’ll gather at 10:30 am on Saturday (22nd August) on Grand Avenue, between the Chamber of Commerce Neill Public Library. At 11:00 we will walk with our parade group south on Grand Ave and east on Main Street. After the parade, we take a group photo, then disperse to enjoy the rest of the Lentil Festival.

Please carpool as much as you can. Parking lots to consider might include Simpson United Methodist Church, Old City Hall, the lot across from Cougar Plaza, and Gladish Community Center. And don’t forget sun protection and hydration!

CCLP (cclpalouse.org) is the local branch of the CCL: a nonpartisan, grassroots advocacy organization focused on national policies to address climate change.
